This is an excellent book arguing against the electoral college. The author combines both historical info, as well as present day arguments to make his case.
The chapter on James Wilson, one of the lesser known founding fathers, was outstanding. The author also did a very good job taking the popular talking points in favor of the electoral college and rebutted those arguments.
I prefer to grade on a letter basis and give it an A+. That makes this a Hall of Fame inductee.
When translated to Goodread’s 1-5 star scale, an A+ converts to a 5 stars.
